How do you merge two series of numbers in Excel?
-
I have two arrays of numbers, each in a different column. They are mostly the same but have a few differences. I want to create a third column that contains all the numbers that appear in either the first column or second column. Any ideas?

Answer:
Copy one of the number ranges and paste under the other. Select the total range then on the Data Tab click Remove Duplicates.

Excel has a "Consolidate" option. If you're using the latest version, it's under the "Data" tab and there's a button that says "Consolidate" to the right.
i think you might be able to do this using a macro sort of like copy a1 plus space plus b1 ... of course it is not numerical, but play around with that idea.
