How Do I Crop A Photo Free Handed In GIMP?

What's the best Image editing program/website under $30.00?

  • The main features I'm looking for are enlarging an image without loss of quality, convert to vector graphics, lighten in certain spots or everywhere change color, hue and saturation in certain spots or everywhere sharpen and crop like in GIMP or photo shop .

  • Answer:

First of all, it is impossible to enlarge a Raster image (bitmap) without some loss of quality. In fact, the more you enlarge such digital images, the more loss there is. Only Vector images may be enlarged without loss. "Genuine Fractals" is probably the most well known of all packages for enlarging raster images, but it is not cheap. As to your other features, there are three applications that you can get for FREE which are very good to always have available for use when dealing with graphics: • The GIMP • IrfanView • Paint.NET And online sites are as follows: • http://www.picnik.com/http://www.lunapic.com/http://www.pixlr.com/http://www.photofunia.com/ .

I use picnik and fotoflexer most of the time. both are free unless you buy the pro accounts which are usually around $25, picnik would be for more creative editing like colour change. pretty basic editing but i works really well.
