How to change what program to my utorrent instead of vuze?

Which out of these is the fastest and most reliable: bittorrent, utorrent or vuze?

  • I am relatively new in the torrent business and have been using bittorrent. I use a 10 Mbps conn., and bittorent gives around 1mBps down speed. Is utorrent, vuze better? Also, is vuze the same thing as Azureus? Which site do you download torrents from : piratebay, kickass or smwhere else? Thanks a lot!

    Vuze is the same thing Azureus. The program you use to torrent is not really the deciding factor in speed; your internet settings and the amount of people uploading the torrent will be. Personally, I use uTorrent. uTorrent is a very small program that doesn't take up many system resources, so I guess you could consider it best. I usually use The Pirate Bay, but where you get the torrent from doesn't really matter.

I've used both uTorrent and Vuze, and I found that uTorrent runs better on my system. Vuze has some other features though, and it's the successor to Azureus (meaning that Azureus became Vuze). It sounds like you're getting a decent connection speed, because your connection is measured in megabits but the client measures in megabytes; 10Mbps / 8 = 1.25MBps. Most things that I want to download by torrent have torrent files available on their official sites, software like Ubuntu or LibreOffice or music from Jamendo. Piratebay, etc, are for mostly for pirating content, which is illegal and thus can't be discussed here.

I've used Vuze (previously know as Azureus) all my life I don't have any complaints about it. Download torrents from every site you can find! My favorites are isohunt, the piratebay , and demonoid.

just download vuze(azureus) and relax.type anything in the search box, like movies, videos, games, softwares etc. an just click download, as simple as that.

Its up to you, vuze with full of features and utorrent is very light and easy to use.

azureus is made by vuze. i recommend azureus. its easy to use.

I'd go with utorrent. I have used all three of them but utorrent has always yielded the best results.
