If i download a movie what should i do so i can play it on the DVD machine?

If the movie you dL is about ~700MB in size, then you can simply burn it to CD or DVD - with a DivX compatible DVD player system. The file format will likely to come as .avi (this is xvid - that can be played on divx DVD players. At the moment I do not know the best converter, but I it is not really worth it. Instead get a PS3 (plays DivX files), buy a portable HDD, format to FAT32, copy & paste movie to HDD, play on/copy to PS3. Remember to buy the DVD, for the full surround sound experience.

burn it on a blank dvd disk using the software CONVERTXtoDVD. this software automatically converts the video file before it burns it to a dvd disc. plus, the beauty of this software is that you can compress the files so that you burn a lot of movies in one disc. of course it warns you of the video quality of the compression.

get an avi to mpeg converter. you can google it or find it at download.com. after that any burner like nero can make it into dvd. but since rips have a smaller screen res, the dvd wont be the same quality as an original dvd.

All you have to do is purchase a compatible, writable DVD and burn the movie onto that. It should play perfectly :)
