How can I suggest my website to yahoo?

Need Help - Website Ideas and Help Please Read?

  • Hey, I'm a 13 year old who's interested in coding such as HTML, JavaScript and that's about it to be honest. I'm looking to start my own website before I become 14 ( In 11 Months ). I'm need some help, as I've only made website with drag and drop elements I need to know where to start, how to plan my website etc, etc. I know what widgets I'm going to put on and stuff, but if you guys have some widgets which are cool please email me. And I don't know much about CSS, is that so important or can I do it with HTML? As you can probably tell I've only started to be interested in coding since November. By the way, I need to make this website by 21/01/12 because I told all my mates that it would be made by then. I need ideas and tips on how to start my website. Any free software to Edit and make Site Banners? Nearly Forgot: How can I make a password protected page with coding and what type? I want to sell things like game membership cards so what will I need for this? Also, most important on the website I want a cool feature that you get points when you read New Posts and comment and suggest ideas. How can I do this? If your going to reply, make it by 21.12.12, no chance. Your wasting my time, don't mean to be rude but I need answers and fast. Cheers Once again Yahoo ;D

  • Answer:

Seriously? You're asking for help on a free forum, demanding answers by a certain date and telling us we're wasting your time and not to be rude? You're the rude one, little boy. You say you have 11 months before you build the page. What's the rush? You need to learn html and css first. That will take you a few weeks. Then you want a login. That's programming and will take a few months. Google is your friend. You have plenty of "time." Use it.

CSS is incredibly and crucially important. In my ecommcerce class, most time my CSS document would be longer then the actual HTML document. CSS3 is a beautiful thing but for some reason MSIE decided not to come through once again, so it doesn't support most CSS3. But, as far as creating a password protection system, then that can be easily done with JavaScript. But if you want to create a log in system where users can create a username and password directly on the site and you use instantly after creating it, then you'll need PHP, a server, and Oracle. Widgets are primarily composed of Java applets, Flash, or occasionally AJAX. Flash being the most common. Flash isn't really hard if you understand action elements from JavaScript. The game membership item would once again be a matter of Oracle and a mail-merge system. But you can have a way where they see what they can buy, and then email you for everything. It would be an easier alternative if you don't own a personal server. You can build a shopping cart with just JavaScript but I personally don't know how you would get all that information to be forwarded to another person, unless you took a screenshot and then still emailed another person. But anyways, learn CSS it's not difficult and it really makes your website look immaculate when done right.
