people don't hire you based on hours of programming. they hire you based on years you've been programming. also some hire you base on specific languages you are experienced in. let's see Entry Level programming - normally 0-2 years experience. some would ask for a degree in a relevant field. Intermediate Programming level would normally be about 2-4 years. some may ask for certification. Experienced/Professional Programming LEvel normally would be 4+ years in the programming field. some would require you to have a working knowledge of specific languages, database programming, etc.
