Where can I find someone to help me with my website design?

WEBSITE DESIGN HELP PLEASE.?

  • hi, i am currently studying graphic design, but am yet, (if at all) been taught how to make a website. so thought it best to try teach my self as so many people ask me to do one, i have not a clue, i no there are ways to make basic websites for free online, but these are pretty darn shabby, so to make a good actual proper website which i could create some good design for, is it best to buy some software, if so, any recommendations? while im here, ... how do you make a website? haha how to put it online on to a server and all that, does this cost? i think its £2 a month someone said, along those lines, i have been searching but cant find any straight answers, so thought its best to see if i could find some website designers on here and see if they can help. any advise or similar experiences will be a great help. please and thank you sam

just use a blog template, by a domain name, and host it with a cheap reputable firm

Get a good hosting account that comes with free scripts like joomla, drupal, wordpress. these are easy to use and very powerful. Try www.inspireweb.co.uk students, charities and churches get free installation and a quick guide.

Go to www.moonfruit.com - these people help you design a website for free and explain the ins and outs of web hosting etc. I'm using this method now to get my own site up and running.
