GoDaddy.com is cheap and will make it easy

I have used 1&1 (1and1.com). GoDaddy (previous poster's suggestion) has a fine reputation.

You need to look for a host. Actually, web hosts usually come with a package that give you a free domain. You can also check out godaddy.com and transfer your domain to them because they have free hosting.

go to any given hosting services mentioned above. It sounds like you don't have the domain registered. 1) go to a site mentioned above 2) try to register the domain. If is available is yours. Some times it will help if ur business is registered. That way you own the business name and no one can take your 'businessname.com' domain. ONe thing to remember is that ur not registering businessname.com (the hold thing). If businessname.com is taken, try .net, .org, and many others. But like I mentioned above, If u have a registered business name whoever has ur business name follow by .com, .net, .bla, .bla has to surrender the business name or u can take them to court. ones ur domain is registered all u do is loging to ur control panle and upload ur file. index.html or index.php is the file shown when someone enters. every other page links out of that one (for starters))

E-mail me which site you registered the domain at. I can help you with all the settings. As far as hosting, it will depend on what type of site you would like to set up and your experience with web design. Can you tell us anything about your site? First: sign up for a domain name: Done! Second: Decide what functionality your site will need. If you just want a simple design for advertising and contact information, it should be easy to set up. There are lots of templates to start from Third: Decide on a website host, who can provide what you need from step 2. (I am in charge of the website hosting available through http://bluedirk.com/ and can set you up with everything you need for your site, Including a few professional templates to start broadcasting your new business name. Fourth: Find someone to build the site. If you want to upload your own site, I provide that ability as well.
