How do I paste a html code into my website?
-
I want to place 2 codes; a pay pal button and adsense. Do I google my own site and go to the actual page and go through the procedure (view, source and paste the html code there? Or do I go into my website builder? (I know how to copy and paste)

Answer:
1) you manage your site on an admin C panel, you need to edit with website editor, and in source code view lets paste the html codes. You should see if your online website editor has features, such as: AD manage AD codes. 2)you have FTP access to the site, you need to download with it, and place the advertisements and paypal buttons into the source code.

you need an FTP app then you download the file you wish to modify - edit the file in a HTML editor, even notepad can do this and then - paste in your extra code and upload the file again overwriting the old one- its also worth keeping a copy of the unmodded file just in case of problems

You'll need to go into your website builder. you will also probably need to hit a button called 'code' or similar to be able to paste the code in such a way that it doesn't show up as regular text, otherwise it can look pretty bad, and it won't work either. w3schools.com might be of some help to you

When you intend to make any changes to your site you have to go to the SOURCE FILES ie the ones on your system. You can not make any changes when you view the source code of any site - if you could, can you imagine the mayhem that would cause :-) You need to go the program you used and paste your code there. You then need to upload the amended file via your FTP. It should all be straightforward - good luck!

you should have and FTP server name and password. In your web program all you have to do is, go to the FTP server and say, Connet and this will down load the links to your site. Click on the html file and it'll open up so you can re edit it and when you hit save, This will update your site.. when you signed up to your site they would have sent you your password, user name and the FTP link.... check that it should be in the email you got... In saying that, log into your web site and go to the page you want to fix in the file manager. their should be a wee button to edit each html file and up will come the code. delete all the code and replace with the new codeand hit SAVE.... THE FTP IS QUICKER

you have to go to the website builder. If there is a source editor button of some sort there, just paste the code in there.

You need to paste these code snippets into the actual offline web pages themselves(pagename.html), save these and then re-upload them to the host server. See http://www.freewebtutorial.co.uk for more help.
