Our system platfrm is .net and the database is sql. I want to know is it possibl to make a customized query?

We are using a custom created software for our advertising needs. Is it possible to make individual queries to the database, which is SQL in nature using filed selection option. We need to do the same for our reports. Or is it advisable to make pre-defined reports for the same? Please advise ASAP.

Yes. You would use the record set classes to access the database. You could do customized reports; I have written software that generates reports to the screen, to formatted files (.csv) and to a printer. You could also use a package like Crystal.
