How to search for a particular string in a text file using java?

Does anything know how to read a text file in java wihout using Java Class Library?

• I have to write a java program where I should have input from file and there is condition for that, that we cant use Java Class Library. That mean I cant use import java.io stuff. Will appreciate early reply.

  You mean you can only use the classes in java.lang? or do you mean you can use any except those in java.io? If the former, sorry, can't be done. If the latter, sorry, but I don't see how, without resorting to a third-party library. Besides, they would only be hiding the use of java.io. Accessing "files" is a very file-system dependent operation and requires native code. The classes in java.io pass a lot of their method calls on to native code to execute the actual I/O. Even trying to hide the I/O behind "resource" and "network" activities via ClassLoader and the java.net package still requires eventual use of java.io. In fact, w/o java.io you don't even have a class type to represent "files", as the File class itself is in java.io. Check again w/ the instructor to make sure you haven't misinterpreted the instructions.
