What are the skills that website makers need to learn.?

What do website designers, website programmers, and website developer have to do. So far, I'm experiences in advanced. HTML, Basic CSS, Javascript, forms with javascript, xhtml, and some xml. I am only 12.

Your on the right track kid I would say learn and master DHTML, and of course Javascript all day. Learn to write in your mind....if you can do that...you will have a lot of money waiting for you. Dont worry about flash...learn it but not too much time. Flash will be done in 3 years and its not really programming anyway!

First you should know the market is overflooded. If you are expecting to make millions overnight with a website, stop. You'll want to learn PHP and (unless you have the oh-so-popular vendetta against Microsoft), ASP.NET. You will also want to learn SQL and how to make efficient relational databases.

Well there are lots of skills that need to be learned before creating a website. Any website created is to earn money and if you want to earn money through website you need to promote it very highly and SEO would be the main process that needs to be done. You need to know all of that along with Flash. You need to know how to use programs though... not just the coding. Dreamweaver, Fireworks... all that. You also have to have some design skills. It's not just technical... a lot of it purely has to do with the art of it... and this involves drawing and using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Javascript, HTML and CSS will only go so far. You need PHP, you could learn VBS and you could also learn ASP.NET. You do not 'need' Flash. Everyone who claims Flash will overtake HTML is wrong.
