-
i want to make a website that can let people download free persian music. I wanted to know that , if i had premission from the record company of the orginal website that releases all the songs, would i still be in copyright trouble and if people send me their music and song and want to place it on my website, is that also copyright?? or i do have the premission to do that?

Answer:
As long as you have permission, and I would get it in writing if possible, you will not be infringing copyrights. I would include the fact that you have permission for each song or post a separate page with a copy of the copyright permission for each. Credit(s) must be made for each also. You would be better off getting a paid web site as you may run into bandwidth problems on a free site should the downloads become popular. Ron

Generally, based on the country, the artist holds the copyright to the music. The record company might also hold it, or at least have some interest in it. If you are given music to post by the copyright holders and you state on the site that the music is posted by permission, you're okay. You need to have permission from all the involved parties.
Who cares...don't worry about this "copyright" crap. If you want to make a website for people to download music - GO FOR IT! Don't let people fool you with this "don't copy - you don't own the music" stuff as it is just another way for them to try to make money! Bottom line, I wish you the best of luck with your website.
Yes its illegal. The only way it isn't illegal is if the artist gives you copyright permissions. So pretty much its illegal cause no artist will do that since they like money. Stupidest question ever, ever heard of Napster or Limewire?

Ok, here's how you can make a music download site. Make sure you have permission to post the music before you do so. As long as you get permission, it is legal.

Some guy in south korea did that and got sued and had to pay 23million dollars. That is an offense but if you want to take that risk.... go ahead.

You need the permission. If it's your own music you can do whatever you want with it.

As long as you have permission to do so from whoever owns the music, you will have no legal trouble. ;)

Yep. It would be the same thing as limewire
