Which web browser works best with windows xp?

i have internet explorer 8 . i need a great web browser that works with xp . need one that wont freeze programs . any help would be appreciated .

I have never tried Chrome. However I am totally satisfied with Firefox. What I really love about Firefox is all the add-ins you can install at your wish. It also have better javascript troubleshooting capabilities.
