Wow lol some answers up above. lol anyway there are many good movie editors. (im assuming you want to edit a movie or home movie) BEST -> Adobe Premiere (but you'll need experience the rest but still good Sony Vegas and if its just small video editing try the windows xp or vista movie maker. Go to http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/ for addons and tips on how to make the standard xp windows movie maker do things that you didnt think it could do

It really depends on what type of movie you are making. Are you making an animation, movie from photographs / videos, etc. A really good program to use is Muvee Auto Producer 6, but it's a free trial. Get it at http://www.muvee.com and try it out! That is really all I have used besides Windows Movie Maker.
