If you're changing the home page in explorer options and the page is still going to the wrong place, there could be a couple of issues. 1st - You could have a virus that is changing the your homepage, but due to the actions of the code, your virus scanner may not find it. The best way to resolve this is to download Spybot Search and destroy. This will help make your browser more secure to these types of changes. 2nd - Check the shortcut, your start page can be overridden by passing the program the page you want to see when you open the program. For example, if the shortcut look like this, ""C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe http://www.yahoo.com%22, then it won't matter what you have set your start page to be, it will open yahoo everytime. It is possible that apiece of maliciuos code changed your link to point you to that page each time. To see what the shortcut looks like, right click on the icon and click properties. On the shortcut tab, look at the "Target" text box. If there is no webpage specified after the ".exe" portion, then your browser will open to the default page listed in internet options. 3rd - As unlikely is this may be, are you using a proxy server? If so, it might be the culprit. Many of the larger websites (MSN, Yahoo, Google) check the IP address of the requesting client and determine which part of the world it's coming from. It will then serve the correct language based on region. If you are using a proxy server that is re-routing traffic through China, you'll probably get a Chinese page. 4th - Download Mozilla Firefox. Problem solved. Firefox is an IE alternative that has a tremendous array of options that make surfing the internet easier, faster and more secure. Good luck

Click Tools>Internet Options and then look for langages. Make sure English is the default. Also make sure the home page address is just www.msn.com without anything after that address.

PEACE!

I don't use MSN, but I've had the same issue with other sites such as Google. I'm sure the problem will be resolved by the same way that I resolved this issue with Google. Simply, you need to tell MSN that you prefer English. Try this: 1) Goto to MSN.com' main page. 2) Look for an "English" link. 3) There's probably a "settings/preferences" link. Select "English". Good luck.
