How do I charge a car MP3 Player?

How do i fit hundreds of mp3 songs on a cd? Does a dvd with music play on a car mp3 player?

  • I need to know how to make the most music files fit on a cd to play on my car mp3 player? I've converted music on my computer to mp3 format, but how to fit more on a cd. And another thing, if i burn music (mp3's) to a dvd, will that play on my car mp3 player? thank you

  • Answer:

It's all down to compression rate - you can record MP3s with 4x compression rate, then logically you would get 4 times as many songs as you would on a CD. Or you could use 44x compression rate, and they would all sound like Pinky & Perky. I guess "something off of Sesame Street" would convey my meaning. I changed my car (with a 6 CD changer) last year, for a model which had only a dash mount single slot CD. Tedious and dangerous! The cost for a boot mounted changer was excessive, so I was all set to buy an MP3 player -as good as 4 CDs, minimum! Then I spotted that SOME in-car DVD players would play MP3s. Actually they all would play MP3s from CD, but some would play them from DVD... I laid out £400 on an Alpine DVA9860R - superb! I have only burned one DVD so far, with 28 CDs on it at 4x compression. I used Roxio to put each CD in it's own folder... to switch folders: press one button, twist the dial, the display shows the name of the next folder. When you reach the one you want, push the dial. It's been harder identifying a Home Theatre system which will decode MP3s from DVD - but that's another story...

Usually the DVD will not. If you create a .MP3 CD, you can fit on average of 150 songs on it..really depends on the size of each but most of mine are between 110-150.

you can fit 700mb of data on a cd. a dvd will not work in a cd player.

I don't know if they still had it but I think it was Target that had something for 40 dollar that came with a cd and some other thing and you could really get almost 100 songs on one cd.

My car MP3 player doesn't play DVDs, but maybe yours does, Read the manual or try playing one. If you create a CD with only MP3's on it, it will fit overr 100 songs on it, without any special compression. I do have to add, that when I got my car MP3 player, I got all excited and made tons of CDs with hundreds of songs on them, but now I'm a little sorry I did. If I want to play a certain song, I have to hit that Fast Forward button dozens of times instead of just putting in the right CD. Just something to think about.

well d dvd wont work on a cd player.....the most number of songs that u culd hear wuld be in mp3 format which wuld play on ur mp3 player....An mp3 player wont support dvd format so be happy with what u have

the less sound quality you give a mp3 the smaller the file size and the more of them you can fit on one cd

The size of the mp3 file depends on the bitrate that you are recording the song at... I fyou want to fit more files than rip your mp3s at freqs like 64 etc...but the down side is that you will loose clarity..

It depends on the size of the songs. If most of your songs are 3 to 5 minutes, you won't be able to fit 100 of 'em. Make two CDs, it's better.
