How to call .aspx page from a web web service(service.svc?

Does anyone have their own web page?

  • I work for a small company and we have a local company who made us a web page and keeps it up. However, we have noticed that after we give them pictures and literature to post on the website, it would take them days or up to a week before we noticed change. After we call them several times, we finally see the update. What I am looking for is a website, like Yahoo or godaddy.com, that we can make our own webpage and manage it ourselves. We have a large client base and they look to our web page for new items we will carry and any updated information we have. I want to be able to go to this page, post what I need to post, then see it in a matter of minutes. I was needing information from any of you that use a web host that can supply me what I need to run a sucessful web page. Thanks

first of all, the person you hired is probably lazy and doesn't do anything till you nag them about it because when you upload to a server it will show immediately. i recommend you use square space for your web hosting. you can add your own html site or make a site with their online website creator. it's very easy to add and update your site and your changes will update immediately

If you know html and how to create the pages you just need a place to host, like godaddy. However if you don't know how to do that you are going to have to look for templated sites that can be edited online. There are lots of these available, I think godaddy does that as well (they're pretty cheap), but they offer much less customization. I do web design for a living and making someone wait longer than the end of the day for an update is ridiculous. I would go to someplace like yahoo local search and find them. Then write your bad experiences so other people don't get a bad taste about website designers because it really hurts the rest of us who do our jobs right. I can look at the site for you and help out if you'd like, email me at [email protected] and I'll help you with any questions you have. Hope this helps!

Hey just build your website using any free site builders or wordpress etc. Host it on a web hosting like iPage. They host your website at multiple locations thus minimizing the ever negligible chance of losing your data forever due to any contingency and at the same time this helps to maintain a high uptime if incase any server is down for maintenance or for any other reasons. iPage is the most reliable and fast website hosting server with unlimited bandwidth with your package. Their customer and technical supports are definitely top-notch. Most of the other hosting companies don’t offer prompt services as far as the customer support is concerned. >> http://p.gs/hsaxi

I understand your concern. I think you can setup your own website so you can manage it on your own. I recommend fatcow. It's very good hosting and it's cheap too. customer service is great. i personally use it for my blog sites. they have sitebuilder where you can design your site the way you like it and make changes and publish them to Internet for other people to see. It's my favorite program. Compare Top Web Hosts: http://www.compare-top-web-hosts.com/

You can try the free platforms like Wordpress or Joomla. For web hosting iPage offers very fast and highest uptime website hosting deals. I've hosted a few websites on their servers, so far no problems at all. Their technical support at the server end is very prompt and they are quick in any resolution. >> http://www.webhostingbreak.com/ipage-discount/

I use 1and1.com They are very good. I own quite a few domains but you would need to know at least a tid bit of html in order to be effective with really anything where you would keep it up yourselves. Feel free to email me @ [email protected] if you have any specific questions on how to go about doing this. I'd be more than happy to walk you through it.

If the site is hosted on a commercial web host, and in your name, just change the password and start maintaining it yourself. (You may need to hire a web developer - changing a website isn't as simple as "post what you need to post".) If the site is hosted on their server, you'll have to get all the files and a backup of your database. They're yours, but you might have to hire an attorney to get them. I've been using GoDaddy for years, and I've never had a reason to change. I had to call tech support today - it's Saturday. The guy knew what I wanted as soon as I gave him my credentials, I didn't even have to tell him. They're that good sometimes. And it's not like they're expensive - I pay less than $5/month. (I maintain my own site - that's for hosting.) I prefer great tech support, even if I have to give up some little things. But they're fast, up-time is close to 100% (I've never found my site down, but they can't be up 100% of the time, no one can) - There's nothing I want that I'm missing. (No, I don't work for them, it's just nice to do business with a competent company.)
