Are there any sites that are similar to Ning?

Do you know of a social networking site that is similar to ning where I can create a social and group network?

• I heard of kickapps though I haven't tried to visit it or find it yet. Ning seems to be doing everything wrong right now. Every update that they add makes my group site more difficult to opperate. Any ideas? Reporting it to the ning help team usually gets me nowhere.

  Try Wackwall. A few months ago, I was looking for the same thing you are now, and i found a few sites, but all of them were inferior to Ning in every way. Wackwall looked like it had potential, but turned out that it was temporarily working on it's beta project. But now it is up and running again. I haven't used it much yet, so I don't know just how good it is, but I would strongly suggest checking it out.
