Is there a free program like Microsoft Access?

Microsoft Access Database file with password to be linked with Visual Basic Program?

  • Hi. I've created a Student Grading System for our project in school using Visual Basic 6.0. My students, teachers and subjects list are all encoded in Microsoft Access. My program is running accurately but when I tried to create a password protection for the Microsoft Access file , the program encounters a runtime error and highlights the code that gives the location for my .MDB file. Is it possible to use a password protected Access file together with Visual Basic 6.0 programs? Thanks.

  • Answer:

Yes but in the connection string you must enter a user id and password. Check out the link below to see what it should look like. http://www.connectionstrings.com/access
