Why does the font on my blog change depending on the computer it's being viewed on? How can I make it uniform?

This is how my page on Blogger appears on a PC: http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r375/SkylarkMelody/Screenshots/?action=view¤t=BlogonPC.jpg http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r375/SkylarkMelody/Screenshots/?action=view¤t=BlogonPC2.jpg And this is how it appears on a Mac: http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r375/SkylarkMelody/Screenshots/?action=view¤t=Screenshot2010-10-19at73143PM.png http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r375/SkylarkMelody/Screenshots/?action=view¤t=Screenshot2010-10-19at72832PM.png I've never encountered this oddity on any other site I've used, so I'm curious to know why the font isn't uniform on both computers. I'd been exporting blogs directly from Word, and they appeared on the site precisely as they did when I wrote them - if they were viewed on a PC. On a Mac the font reverts to large, block-letter-ish text. Even if I use one of the preset fonts on Blogger, such as Arial, the size of the text will vary based on the platform you're viewing it on. How can I make the font uniform on all browsers and computers? Also, does anyone know how to export blogs directly from Pages (iWork 09) or Microsoft Word (Office for Mac 2011)? I've been tinkering around on them and haven't yet found the option for exporting to blog sites. Is there one?

Answer:
It's likely to be because the font you have chosen isn't default on Macs (they would need to download the font to see the webpage like PC users do). Therefore I suggest you use a list of fonts in the CSS file so that if they have the font they can use it, otherwise they can use a different alternative.

Be aware of one thing: you are NOT in control of the font used by any browser! The browser is given, in CSS if there is one, or in the in-line code, a list of font families (ie: arial, verdana, times). The browser checks if the first font exists. If it does not find it, it tries the next, then the next until it finds one. If it does not, it uses the "default" font that it has been prorammed to use. The three fonts I mentionned (arial, verdana and times are the UNIQUE three fonts that are common on ALL browsers, Verdana being the most reliable in terms of sizes (px), weight (bold), and style (italic). So, write your documents using whatever program you like, but specify the font to be one of these. (or learn how to code and review what you have uploaded, changing the font) :-)
I don't know why its like that. I like the font fine on both computers. Dont worry about it. Do you mean Office 08? Office 2011 isn't even being sold yet. It's impossible 4 you to have it unless you did a illegal download or something. I don't think you can buy it till the end of the yr. On Word you hit export then put in your blogger name and password. Easy peasy. BTW. Your probably the first person ever to bookmark CNN and NPR AND Teen Vogue and 90210!!!! who still watches that show? how did you get the song name to show up @ the top of the screen? what's the icon with the red hand and the record on the bottom?
