How do I call a open a DMG file or an EXE file from a Flash projector?
-
I want to make a Flash executable projector, both for Mac and for PC. I want the file to call DMG files and EXE files so that programmes can be installed. I have permission from the relevant companies to distribute the software, but I don't know if using a standard getUrl() syntax will suffice. Is there a guaranteed way around it? I also want to make the links work RELATIVELY, ie. regardless of the CD Drive letter (Windows only, Mac used the disc name). Any tips?

Answer:
Well I'm not sure if you can use flash directly, but I do know you can use programs like MDM Zinc (which I use and highly recommend) and mProjector which which will both create projectors and standalone exe's for Flash. Hope this helps!
