Where is a good totally free resume builder website?

Advice needed on website for an artist please ?

  • I'm a professional painter, selling well, and the time has come to get my own website. I am having trouble finding one to model it on though. The requisits: Fast loading Capability of holding many images with frequent additions and deletions Profile Checkout with credit card and paypal options. High quality and tasteful . Can anyone suggest a site that might exhibit these qualities or a site builder who may have something like that in his resume ?? Thank you. you could use a basic web site model with a flash image gallery. build some basic HTML pages for the text content: about your work, artist profile, a few "teaser" images and a shopping cart (probably PHP, google checkout, etc for the cart) then get a flash gallery to showcase your art. have the gallery built off an xml document, so as you need to change, add, remove images all you have to do is get the new images to your hosting company with the updated xml file. Or there are some shopping cart construction apps that will actually build the gallery for you (like the Cartweaver plugin for Dreamweaver 8). Once you get the cart running, all you would have to do is add a few pages for the text content.

Whilst it is by no means essential to have your web designer be local there are benefits in choosing someone in your area. You can sit down with them and go over your design criteria more throughly in less time. There are lots of talented web designers. The KEY is finding one that will listen to your ideas and visual concepts...let them worry about the "how" (speed - links - shopping cart etc) and you provide the "what" or "appearance" the more infomation/feedback you give the better they can design what you want.
