How To access SQL Database from C# GUI?
-
I cannot access SQL database in c# GUI on my local machine I have configure and follow this step (Surface Area Configuration tool steps: Surface Area configuration for services and Connection Database Engine > Remote Connection In there I change to Local and Remote And choose both TCP/IP and Named Pipes it is the last option.) but still then I got this message: Error: Microsoft SQL Native Client: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.

Answer:
Can you connect to the DB via the Management Studio? If not, is the service running? If so, check your connection string. But I have seen this error for a variety of reasons. Could be a lot of things.
