I'm getting ready to put a website online and I was wondering about the 'Paid for Traffic' that is offered...?
-
I remember once seeing one on the 'Today Show' where a woman put a website on and was paid weekly for the number of visitors that went to her site and clicked certain links. It was free and all she had to do was download a program. I thought it had something to do with Google, but when I tried to find it - like a million different ones pop up. Is there REALLY anything out there that will really pay you for the amount of traffic to your website or is this one of those 'it's too good to be true' things that I hear about? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you kindly.

Answer:
There are a LOT of "pay-per-click" solutions. But don't put your hopes too high! On average, they pay 0.01c per click. You need to have 100 visitors CLICKING on links to get 1$. ... And to get 100 visitors clicking, you need about 100 times as much visitors (10000). Your traffic may not be up to the task... It is not too good to be true, it just does not pay! However, if you were "Yahoo Answers", it is another thing! With millions of visitors per day, and plenty of gullable hopeful visitors, spammers have a good life... and many clicks! The one above is a typical case.
