it depends on how much you charge and how good you are

If you're freelance you can expect to make whatever you charge and people are willing to pay. If you work for someone else you'll make whatever they think your skills are worth. Our staff webdesigner makes around $35 per hour, but we charge $150.00 an hour for design work. But he also gets a lot more work than he is able to on his own.

You can make as much or as little as you want. Honestly its all up to you and the effort you put into it. Salaries range depending on your location and market. For example your not going to be able to charge a business $3,000 for a website if you live in a very small town, how ever if you live in a very industrialized are then you can. I'm not saying go out and charge as much as you can for your services. What I'm saying is study, learn your trade, become good at what you do, and set yourself a price list and stick to it. If you are good enough you can make a decent living. Just be fair about your prices for you and for your customer. Good Luck.
