How do a put a custom banner on tumblr?

• I used to have a pretty darn good grasp on html but I'm kind of horrible at it now. I thought I had an idea of how to put a banner on my tumblr page but the closest I've gotten is the banner in a tiny-winnie little picture squished on the side of the title bar. What do I need to do to put up my own banner?

  First you need to upload your picture banner online, using Tinypic: http://tinypic.com/ or Photobucket: http://photobucket.com/ ImageShack etc. Where do you want to place your banner? Anyway here's the html: <img src="url"> (Just replace the word url with your banner picture's url.)
