Is there email validation baked in to Rails 3?

Pottermore- No validation email. Help!?

  • So I found the magic quill, registered, and put in my email exactly right but still no validation email. i don't mean the welcome email, the validation email that you have to respond to in 48 hours. checked the junk folder, not there. anyone else have this problem? how did you fix it, if so?

  • Answer:

It's happening to everyone. Lets just be patient.

Lots of people on tumblr are claiming to have received a validation e-mail yet no one is willing to print screen it?! - I'm not so sure that people have already got them. I need to see proof to believe others, hopefully we'll get ours soon xxx

Same over here. I'm kinda freaking out...juuuust a little bit. But I think the best thing to do is take your mind off it for the day, and visit your email in the evening. You've got 48 hours, so let's be calm.

I was in the same boat. I think since it's happening to everyone, it's probably just from overload. It'll come.

Hey guys. This is Naykinz again (I'm on my friends account waiting for her e-mail) I've just received my validation e-mail. It reads: "Your Pottermore account Welcome and thank you for registering for Pottermore by J.K. Rowling - the magical new online experience based around the Harry Potter books. A million registrants are going to be granted early entry into Pottermore to help give it the finishing touches, and the exciting news is that if you validate your account quickly, you could be one of the lucky few selected. Please be quick because places are going to be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis*. * See the Magical Quill Terms & Conditions for full details. Follow this link to activate your account: YOU GET YOUR INDIVIDUAL LINK HERE. (Please note that this link will expire in 48 hours, so if you don’t manage to activate it within that time, you’ll need to register again). Once you activate your account, you will discover more about when you can access Pottermore." I don't know what I have to do now, guess just wait for confirmation or something?! xxx

I've waited about 1 1/2 Hours... finally I've got my validation email... and than... "Sorry, there was a problem with the registration process. Please try again. Please create a new Pottermore account. This should only take a minute or so." How the Heck am I supposed to create a new Pottermore account in a minute?! o.O' I'm really freakin out here... :-(

Can I enter Pottermore as soon as I've registered? A limited number of people will be granted early entry to Pottermore, to help us add final touches before it is open to all in October 2011. Once you validate your registration (via the email you receive after submitting your details), you will receive a Welcome email between 31 July and 30 September letting you know that your account has been enabled for entry.

Same here, but I asked for a username reminder off them and it came through on my email and everything so I must be registered so that reassured me a bit. Just try that if it makes you feel better, hopefully it'll come eventually for all of us! And all the fake fans will get nothing! x

I've been waiting for almost 2 hours and I haven't received it either. There must be a lot to process, but I believe that we will get it in 48 hours. Some lucky people already have signed in.
