How to make videos on Sony Vegas Pro 9?

• Okay, I'm making this Youtube poop project on the computer, and I can't find my videos. I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 9 and Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD to make my Youtube Poop, and I copied my videos onto the flash drive and put in on my Windows 7. Now, I need to put my videos on Sony Vegas Pro 9 on my Windows 7, I open up to "File", I go to Open, and my videos are not there. I mean, I clicked on "File" and my videos weren't there. I tried using Windows Media Player, I tried using VLC, and I even tried RealPlayer, but none of them work because I don't have any files on my videos. I downloaded my Youtube videos on savevid.com, put them into my flash drive, put the flash drive into my Windows 7, and when I open, "File", and pressed, "Open", the videos are not there. I tried every document to find my video, but none of my videos aren't there, because it dosen't have the files for Sony Vegas Pro 9. How do I put Sony Vegas Pro 9 files (wav., and all that) onto my videos, on my Windows 7?

  Are the files WMV? If they are not, which is most likely the case since youtube downloads are usually mp4 or flv, you need to convert them to wmv. I use prism video converter. They should work after that.
