What to do with blackberry pearl?

What would It Take for Sprint to Replace my Blackberry Pearl for a New Pearl? ?

• I purchased the Pearl from eBay. The phone works fine, but it has cosmetic scratches on the earpiece and battery cover that really make it look ugly. Sprint told me that they couldn't replace the housing because the scratches and cracks were not affecting the Performance of the phone. Do you think If I purposely drop the phone in water, then take it to sprint, they would replace it with a new Pearl? I do have insurance and pay for the equipment protection. I need some thoughts on this situation or some other suggestions on what to do?

  NOO! whatever you do, do NOT drop it in water..the only thing that insurance does NOT cover on phones is water damage, so they will for sure not replace it if you do that. Every phone company is like this. One time i brought one of my phones into a tanning bed with me and it messed up the phone electronically and i got to trade it in for a new phone. Idk know but whatever you do..don't drop it in water or youre screwed.
