I need help installing desktop manager for my blackberry pearl?

i just got a blackberry pearl and im trying to install the desktop manager it came with and i install it and restart my computer den i try to go on it den it opens and closes real quick did i do sumtin wrong? is der anyway yuu can help me i would like to start using the desktop manager

Go ahead and uninstall it, reinstall it. If it happens again, go to your service providers website and download the most recent desktop manager and install that one.
