How to play MKV on samsung galaxy?

Can Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or 8.9 play .mkv file?

I'm looking for the best android tablet with 3G, and I'd love to keep movies on them. Most of my movies are .mkv and .flv, can they play them? Oh also, do you think Samsung Galaxy Tab is the best one out there? (please stop saying Transformer Prime, it doesn't has 3G)
