How do i log out of my email on my blackberry pearl?

Blackberry Pearl: Does one need to have internet/email access plan in order to use a blackberry pearl?

  • I'm trying to buy one, but I heard that you need to buy the 30 dollar plan with internet/email in order to use it. Can it still function (make calls, text) even without the internet?

    If you do not have a data or messaging plan you can still make voice calls and send text and picture messages and access the internet. BUT you will pay out the *** without a plan. Also you wont get the whole email straight to your phone thing (isn't that the point of getting a blackberry). I am an internet /text junkie so I pay around $100 a month after taxes... It WILL save you money in the long run to purchase at least a messaging plan...

I have heard that you can text and call without the data plan, but you can not send pictures or videos without the data plan. Can anyone verify this information.

Yes, you can text, make calls, use the phone book, calendar, memo, all the other organizing features. Just not email and internet. But it is SOOOOO nice to check your email from your phone. All 10 of them! Okay, that is just me with 10 email addresses, lol.

Yes of course. I own the pearl and I use all the nice features without paying for internet. (Though I don't have internet on it, its the best phone I have ever had! The typing on it is SO nice!)
