How to make your hacked psp connect to your pc with a usb?

Hi, ive had a psp for more than two years now. Hacked it in the first year, everything was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. When I try to connect my psp to my pc(to update music and stuff) my psp just hangs on "Please wait...".Ive tried putting my memory card in a friends psp and it worked. My friends psp is hacked too, but my pc only picks up my mem in his psp and not mine. I also tried using a different usb cable and it didnt work either,any help?
