Sync iTunes on a new computer?

Export iPhone data to a NEW computer? (Old PC died, iTunes want me to WIPE my iPhone in order to sync w/ PC)?

  • My old laptop died, and it was the one I used to sync music between my laptop and my iPhone 3GS(OS 4.0). I had about 30GB of music on it. Now I have a new laptop, and I want to get the music ON my iPhone transfered TO my NEW laptop. Is this possible? All iTunes tells me is that I must delete all of the data on my iPhone in order to sync it with my new laptop. Please note that these songs have NOT been purchased through iTunes, but are "normal" (i.e. ripped) MP3s. So, in short: How do I get my iPhone data transfered to a new computer?

  • Answer:

Well, this isn't answering your question, but I suggest seeing if the HD in the dead computer is still operable. Then you could get some hardware that would allow you to use it as an external HD.
