How do i update my sidekick lx?

Sidekick lx ota video,browser update etc?

  • I just bought a sidekick LX its great but I heard the ota video update came out on the 18th of july and I didn't get any updates when I got the phonr on july 1st??

    The update for the lx will be an ota (over the air) update that will include many new features, such as: - the ability to record/play/send/receive video - updated browser - alarm - find shortcut feature (allows you search your whole phone for specific things) - ability to install applications or games without restarting the phone - possibly more that I haven't mentioned Just be patient. The update WILL be sent to all LX owners, at no charge, within the next few weeks. It was rolled out to a few lucky owners around late June, and will be gradually sent to random sidekick lx owners, groups at a time. It should reach everyone by August. Until then, just be happy with what you got.

The update was scheduled to roll out on June 25 and it would go out in batches to all of the sidekick lx users. There is no apparent way to know when you will get the update as it is sent random. I called tmobile today to get more info as i have been solely relying on the Internet for the info because this is where i heard about it in the first place. I have the sidekick lx and i have had it since like April and i have not gotten the update yet so i just guess we have to wait.
