What Are Some Good Apps For The Evo 3d?

Nokia N9, Blackberry 9900, or HTC Evo 3D?

  • which one should i get? 9900 isn't too customizable but bbm is good.. N9 is linux.. i've been a part of n900's community and so far, i've been really satisfied.. bigger ram, EVO 3D looks fancy.. cool apps.. etc etc.. but compared to n9/n900, its opensourceness is limited.. flash 11 *dunno if its gonna be available for n9*.. cool apps too.. its just android's opensourceness that bugs me.. is android worth it? is evo 3d laggy? how are the games? how customizable is it?

  • Answer:

For the many people that have had bad experiences with an Android device usually comes from having a very low-end device to start with. Android os can only run as well as the hardware in the phone itself will allow. Android app developers have to deal with multiple hardware configurations(low end to high end phones, tablets) which sadly people will blame the Android os for. For example many people expect their ancient(tech age) G1 to run the newest of games developed to be played on a Tegra equipped device...Sorry, it's not happening. You wouldn't expect your 20+ year old Commodore computer to be able to play the newest version of FEAR or Crysis. Technology advances in leaps and bounds. What was hot and up to date last week is no longer tomorrow. Android phones have been advancing at an astounding rate where as Apple devices have been dumbed down(on purpose for marketing IMO) by Apple. Most common complaints I hear regarding Android devices are: It's slow. My phone always freezes. I got frequent Force Closes. My phone battery sucks. Sorry to say Android apps are not always device friendly as there are just way too many different hardware configurations. As for the slow phone...most likely you have a bunch of apps opened up in the background or a bunch of processes running that shouldn't be. Android requires a bit of TLC for most average users. There is ENDLESS capabilities with an Android device as it is OPEN SOURCE and there is not a single thing about the Android os you can't customize or change. The great thing about Android devices is the number of resources available such as mega-forums like XDA. With that said I am going to have to recommend the Android device mentioned - EVO 3d is a current device. Tons of roms available which offer optimizations and battery life improvements as well as things such as Chainfire 3d that would allow even the crappiest of Android device run any of the newest of games.... And regarding your question of is it laggy? how are the games? how customizable is it? I think my answer above should clear that up for you. As for those of you that don't agree with me....why not post a response instead of just giving me a thumbs down?
