Plam Tero 650 HELP.?

Hi, I have a Plam treo 650 . The problem is "screen goes off and i can't see any thing or hear any thing". I take the battery out. Wait for couple of minutes. Put the battery in and turn the device on. And i can't see what on the screen but for some lines.the lights stay on for about 1 minute on the keypad and on the screen , i see abit of lines with colour. After a while i loose the blue colour screen . Again i take the battery out for 2 minutes. Start over the same thing. I dont know whats going on with it. Is there a way reinstall all the software?, (like installing the operation system software). If it is a software issue that might solve it. If it is a hardware issue is there anyway to fix??? Anybody who can help, I really appreatiate it. Thank you very muc

I'd probably just take it back to your cell phone provider. That way they can do some diagnostics on it and find out exactly what's going on.

I've had this problem before. To fix, throw the thing in the toilet after taking a monster dump, then take out... wipe off and use. That really did the trick for me.

You can try a hard reset, which is similar to reinstalling Windows on a PC. This will revert the Treo back to the state it was in right out of the box when you got it. Warning: A hard reset will erase everything on your device. All your data will be removed, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. Don't perform a hard reset unless you've backed up your data, or you're willing to lose everything. To do a hard reset: 1. Hold down the power (on/off) button on your device. 2. While holding down the power button, turn over your device so that you can see the back of it. Still holding the power button, use an unfolded paper clip or a similar small object, to gently press the RESET hole on the back. 3. When the Palm Computing Platform or Palm Powered logo appears, release the power button.

In addition to a Hard Reset shown above. You can try to upgrade your software. There are always "new" software upgrades you can check for on Palm.com. I had similar shutdown problems and then after I upgraded to new software I had no more problems! Go to the link below at Palm.com and locate your Treo 650 and provider e.g. Verizon. They will have an updater or software upgrade somewhere on the page. Good luck!
