Can i change a regular phone into a smartphone? if i can how?

Which Is the best smartphone for me?

  • I need some help. i'd like a smartphone for personal use. I'm 17 and an a-level student. I want it for e-mail and viewing & possibly editing) documents. A camera would be nice but it doesn't need to be fantastic as i rarely take photos (current phone is 2mp). Media player is needed (cos i'm a teenager!) i was thinking of the Blackberry Pearl but i'm reading mixed reviews (and apparently you can't edit files). Other thought is Nokia N95 (heard only good about this but i have a nokia at the mo and i know battery life is terrible in most). part from the Palm Treo 750V which ones have Windows Mobile? I'm totally confused Any suggestions? I'm a Vodafone UK customer and ideally wouldn't like to change due to a staff discount. Thanks

Other answers

If you are used to Nokia's navigation (which is by the way the best I have experienced so far), opt fo N95. You will be getting some of the software you require directly with this phone. The rest you could top-up from any good mobile software storefront (http://www.youpark.com or http://www.nclubsoft.com for example). This market is maturing and you could find almost any kind of software for any phone over the webshops.
