Can you download BBM (blackberry messenger) for an iPod touch?

  • A lot of my friends have blackberry's, but I have an orange rio. I was wondering if you could download BBM for an ipod touch 4th generation or even an orange rio phone? Thanks:)

    i don't think you can but there is an app for iphone users and blackberry users called ping chat which allows them to communicate via the same method as BBM

Hi,The answer is no I'm afraid,Blackberry messenger is,what it implies,for use between Blackberrys. Maybe the next time you have an update with your phone you could think about a Blackberry,that is if you will still want to use messenger,you could use ping? this is the same type of thing but open rather than an encrypted and an encoded system...bye.D.

Hi, Unfortunately not, however there are many chat apps on the iPhone that are similar to the BBM service. These won't be able to contact BBM users however as each BBM account has its own unique PIN. ^Steve_OrangeHelpers

BBM currently only works on BBs.
