i have a blackberry 8310 originally on vodafone and now i have had it unlocked and i use an orange pay as you go sim! the only problem is i cant use the email function! there isn't a picture/ tab i can click on that lets me create an email account so i was told to go on setup wizard so i did then clicked on email setup and then clicked on yes to " i want to create" then it comes up has your blackberry enterprise server administrator provided you with an enterprise activation password which i haven't because its a personal use phone and nothing to do with my business as i bought it separate so its a phone for personal use and if i click no it says i need to contact administrator to find out what to do and its not a faulty phone as its my second one that has done this? any help please

Answer:
I believe you are at the wrong section when trying to setup your account. On the main screen of your Blackberry there should be an icon to create a personal email or when you run the wizard it should give you an option to run and create a personal email. If not, you may need to wipe the device because this was used for business originally and restore to it's original state. It is still tied to your work policies. Enterprise activation is only use when you are connecting a corporate email (such as your place of work) to your device. That said you would need to get a data plan that involves the BES data plan (Blackberry Enterprise Service) But because this is a pay as you go. You would set up a personal email (such as yahoo.com; gmail.com; aol.com) differently. But Still you would need a data plan but for consumers. You would need a BIS plan (Blackberry Internet Service). I would call your carrier to see if that is something that would work with the orange pay as you go plan. Good Luck

I had the same problem with Orange. Your blackberry account has not been activated. You need to back to the shop and explain.

I haven't had my blackberry for long and have been having a hard time figuring out just how the whole camera/picture messaging thing works!! I JUST found this awesome new app for my curve that is making all messaging stuff soooo easy! Just came across it on Yahoo Finance... http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080826/200808260... -- Posting mobile video and picture updates directly to Facebook and MySpace. -- Searching and viewing videos and pictures on the Blackberry device. -- Connecting with friends in real-time, and interacting with new people on JuiceCaster. and lot of other cool stuff.. :D I checked out the JuiceCaster dot com website it look pretty legit... i signed up and now just checking out the app!... its crazy how i can send the pictures straight to my MySpace page!
