Question about Sim for Blackberry curve?

  • I have a Nokia 6300 and I want to upgrade to a Blackberry curve, can I use my existing sim and if not will I be able to keep my existing number ? The curve will also be vodafone like my existing phone. If I can't use my sim do I just take the curve to a vodafone shop to keep my number or would I be better off purchasing the phone from a vodafone shop and sorting it as I get it ? Thank you.

    You will be able to put your sim from your Nokia into your Blackberry and the Blackberry will work fine, with no need to anything else. However, if you want to use the Blackberry services on your new phone, such as BBM, etc, you will need to buy a Blackberry add on, which costs £5 per month. If you have a contract, £5 per month will be added to the tariff you currently pay. If you are on pay as you go, then you will have to pay the £5 from your top up credit to get the Blackberry services.

I don't see why not. I switched from a Nokia 5100 to a 6230i both on the same network with the same SIM & I kept my same number.
