I spilled pineapple juice on my ds lite, how can i fix it?

I got pineapple juice spilled on my ds lite while it was open, now it doesn't always turn on, and whenever i turn it on it turns off almost immediatly. There's no nintendo support around me so i can't send it to anyone. Is there anyting i can do myself to fix it?
