What's wrong with my Treo 650?

Whats the deal with my Palm TREO 650?

• This is my problem... The phone has been solid up until about 2 weeks ago when i moved to florida. Since then, it has felt the need to never find a network (im with AT&T). Restart by itself at least 8 - 10 times a day. Rarely recieve a call or let me dial out. The keyboard lights also like to freak out and flash wildly just before it restarts. I asked someone and they said I may need a new battery or software upgrade. Well I downloaded a few upgrades but not all of them would install. It rejected a few. I have also ordered a new battery. My phone only seems to work normally when plugged into a charger (car or home). Anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it?

  When your palm goes funny on you and the soft reset will not fix it. It is best to do a hard reset. A hard reset will wipe your phone back to factory settings. Most Treos that I work with, and have similar problems will normally work after a hard reset. Couple things that could of happen to your phone. Either it conflicting software or corrupt software. Normally the case. Or hardware issue. If this is the case a hard reset will not fix it. Now be for you hard reset back up your info by sync to your PC. Say you do a hard reset and it works fine. Then you re-sync it back to your PC, and it starts acting up again. That means the bad files where saved in your PC. This fix is never fun.. To hard reset first you take our the battery. Push and hold on the Red End key while placing your battery back in. When you see the palm shield appear let go of the Red End key and it will prompt. Up to reset, down to cancel. Reset your device. It will turn back on, and see if it works any better. If not its the hardware. Then its time to get a new phone.
