How to set focus to Fieldmanager in blackberry?

My computer recognizes that the button was pushed (it does that push motion when I click it) but it doesn't do anything. The 'cancel' button works fine. Please help!     Those directions didnt sound right on that site. You can load gmail one of 2 ways. You can click on email settings on your blackberry, sign in to your blackberry, click on ADD EMAIL, and put in your gmail user name and password. Then a gmail icon will be set up on your blackberry home screen. Or You can load the google pda/mobile application, and get gmail, google and other services, but I recommend the first step.
