  If MetroPCS uses a computer to "flash" their own operating system software onto your Blackberry, then you are probably never going to get it to work on your previous carrier's network ever again. Each carrier uses proprietary software to program their phones to recognize their network and to make/receive calls. Once changed, the phone will no longer know how to work with its original carrier. I am a service tech, and I have never been able to recover a phone that has been "flashed" to Cricket or another service carrier. I tell those folks that their new carrier "owns" the device. The manufacturer's warranty is voided by this, your original contract is terminated, and going back will involve paying off termination fees (if applicable), buying a new phone and starting a new contract. BTW part of the reason MetroPCS is so cheap to use is because they cannot service the handset--since they did not provide it to you they can't even replace it under warranty.
