How do I get free skype on my tablet pc?

I have WIFI on my pc at home and just purchased a tablet PC with WIFI. I wanted to use Skype so my sister could call her granddaughter from the other room on the tablet that has a front facing camera (the Coby Kyros 8" Tablet). It says I don't "have any devices". What does that mean and how to I add a device, does it cost as long as i'm using my WIFI at home?
