Blackberry messenger usage help with o2 bolt on?
-
Hi, i have just purchased a blackberry curve 8900 and would like to start using blackberry messenger (only) on my current o2 pay as you go sim, i have couple questions please help. 1. Would i need an extra internet bolt on, as ill mostly have access to wifi at home anyway? 2. Will i have to top up every month or can i miss a month incase i dont become a regular bbm user? (already stuck on three uk contract 1 more year!) 3. All i need is blackberry messenger to try it out to see what its all about, im sure pay as you go will let me be (un-stuck) with any monthly subscription to bbm service, so that i do not have to top up every month if not satisfied with blackberry messenger. Please help, im new to the blackberry world!! Im an iphone user :)

I have a feeling that I have answered this question before,still,.....you first of all need the BIS.thats the Blackberry Internet service this is the data plan you require. You will not get messenger on wi-fi..as messenger requires data ..wi-fi does not need data to operate. you would need to top up every month,in fact your operator would take the £5 per month from you account so you switching on and off will not work,go and have a chat with O2,they may give you a trial then you make a decision as to whether you want to use it or not.....

Hey, Yes, you'll need to have a BlackBerry data package added to your tariff so you can use BBM, the internet and check your emails on the go. It normally costs £5 extra a month. It's also best to check whether you can skip a month with O2 directly. Hope this helps :) Louise
