What is PS?

What's the difference between PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi and PS Vita Wi-Fi?

  • Could you list all the things that are different and the same about the two systems, because I know that PS Vita Wi-Fi doesn't have the Near app, but what else is different?

  • Answer:

The Wifi version does have the Near application, it just won't use it to its full ability. The only thing the Wifi doesn't have is the GPS app. Other than that, both versions will use wifi as its preferred online method, since the 3G service is too slow to handle online gaming.

PS Vita does indeed have Near, it just can't use GPS signals to get accurate location data. Other than the GPS and 3G capabilities, there is no difference.

Ryu

Wi-fi allows you to pick up internet from hubs. 3g/wifi allows you to either use the hub or pay for a 3g service for on the go mobile.
