Where to find inexpensive T-Mobile Blackberry?

  • I have a blackberry 7290 but i cant seem to send/recieve calls but i can send/recieve texts also the blackberry says"data connection refused" and the blackberry is also locked to tmobile uk.Also I cant seem to find the wap browser even when the blackberry's radio is off. Please note that: 1)FDN mode is already disabled 2)Call blocking is NOT enabled 3)Call fowarding is NOT enabled Thanks

    Data Connection refused appears when the connection is refused access to the Blackberry network.. You will probably have gprs in lower case and not caps.. If your SIM is a normal sim on the standard voice tariff, then you will need to get the account changed over to the blackberry account. With the phone call thing, does your Blackberry have the phone function installed on it.. When you install the firmware there is an option to not install the Phone, this may have been done. You would need to download the firmware from the appropraite telco website and install it using the blackberry desktop manager. The same applies to the Web Browser..

Try going in to Options, then Network, then change it to Manual, and then choose scan for available networks to see what networks are there. Choose the one that you are using. I am assuming you have a T-Mobile UK SIM card in there, right? If not, of course it will not work. Make sure that SIM card works in another phone. You will not see the WAP browser when it says data connection refused. Make sure your service plan has Blackberry internet and WAP on it. Log in to the website you use to manage your Blackberry email and click "Send service books." That will give you the WAP service book. Here is the link to do that: https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=tmobileuk It also doesn't hurt to have the latest software version. You can download that from your provider. If all else fails, give them a call, because they might be having network problems causing this.
